Electric water Heater Smells Like It's Burning?

Yesterday while taking a shower, I noticed that I lost my hot water quicker than normal. I didn't really think anything of it, but later in the night realized I still didn't have any hot water. I inspected the rest of the faucets in the apartment, and no hot water to be found. I called maintenance this morning, and they came out and fixed it. They didn't tell me exactly what they did, but said that I should have hot water again in about half an hour. I went upstairs, and about 20 minutes after they left I began to smell something burning. I came down, and sure enough it was coming from the water heater, but I couldn't see any smoke and nothing felt hot-- just smelled like burning. I flipped the breaker switch to the heater and called maintenance back. They returned, said they couldn't find anything wrong, but changed the thermostat as it was the only thing they thought could be causing it. They left (leaving the 2 cover plates off for reasons i dont know, just said "don't put your fingers in there"), and now its about an hour and a half later, and I can still smell the burning. It's no worse than before, and again, no smoke, it just seems like it never went away from before. Should I be concerned about this, or is it just a residual burning smell from whatever caused it earlier in the day? At what point should I worry that I can still smell the burning?

Sinusodial curve, wrap paper, cut candle at 45 degree angle at axis, WHAT?

Jackie wraps a sheet of paper tightly around a wax candle whose diameternis two inches, then cuts through them both with a sharp knife making a 45 degree angle with the candle's axis. After unrolling the paper and laying it flat, Jackie sees the wavy curve formed by the cut edge and wonders whether it can be described mathematically. Sketch this curve and show that it is sinusodial. It is very helpful to use radian measure for this problem.

What does my dream mean?

Yesterday I had a dream that I was in my dining room and from my window i was looking in the backyard and my backyard is next to a park . I saw this really scary guy come from the park into my backyard so i went to my kitchen and told my aunt so from the kitchen window she told my uncle there was a guy behind him because the scary guy went to the side of my house after my backyard and then I ran outside and my uncle cousin and the scary guy were in front of my garage and my uncle pulled out a pocket knife but the guy had a gun and began firing and shot my cousin and then my uncle he missed me so i ran to my grandmas room in the house and locked my door. thats where my dream ended. Honestly in my previous dreams before yesterday i had dreams where groups of guys came into my house from the park into my backyard and then into my house and were killing my family too...can someone please tell me what my dream means i get scared to sleep easily sometimes.

I have a high pain tolerance, no issues seeing blood and yet i still faint if i get cut. why?

I'm no doctor, I'm only 15 but it could be a physiological thing. Maybe it's all in your head and when you cut yourself there's something going on in your head that causes you to faint. I wouldn't worry about it though. If you are that concerned or curious about why it happens, ask your doctor.

I need to know how I can find my niece, Tasha Fry, she has aunts, cousins and a sister, who want to know where?

Tasha was adopted more than ten years ago. We don't know who, or where she is. She was about 11 years of age, born in Bronx Ny. She would be about 29 or 30 years of age. She had an uncle named Erwin, aunts named, Monica, Debbie, and Chriss. She has cousins, Emmanuel, Tudy, Lauren, Freida, Danielle. She would probably be living in Bronx Ny, but could have moved. Her last name may have been changed. If anyone has any information please contact me.

Why do all things that could go wrong go wrong at the same time?

this may sound lame but i think it is the law of attraction. something negative happens, it stays on your mind and then that negative energy attracts other negative events. remember, when ur "up" its never as good as u think and when ur "down" its never as bad as it seems.

14 year old transgender friend?

HRT? No, its not hormone replacement, it's extra hormone used for other purposes. As for your friend, he should look for some advice from a counselor, he should learn to accept himself the way he is, undergoing surgery to change sex hasn't satisfied anyone completely.
