Should i still be friends with these people?

I used to be best friends with two girls (say their names are Tasha and Glenda). I really liked them one more than the other they were twins. they always tried to get attention though and sometimes negatively. We were friends with a large group and basically no one else in the group knew each other they only knew the twins. Each year the twins would want more attention and they started cursing at the teachers doing all sorts of bad things and so at first one twin was worse than the other so my other friends (say they were Joyce and Roda) decided to get rid of that twin. The problem was the twins played together so if we got rid of one twin we got rid of the other so Joyce Roda and I dumped them nicely we just slowly stopped talking to them. Now they say mean things about us, I kind of like them still and the one i liked we always meet our eyes and i still like one of them (say Tasha) im just confused with the other one she says mean things and the one i like also does but i l know deep down inside they are really nice
