OMG IM SO SCARED PLEASE HELP I AM BEGGING?

SO I MOVED IN ALONE TO THIS HOUSE. Everynight there is this stranger staring into my bedroom through the window. So the second time it happened i called the police. They said tell us if anything like that happens again. Well i just saw him last night again walking to the mailbox then i turned around and saw him with a knife. He started chasing me then i got home and called the police. They just told me they will investigate and look for him. So i dont know what to do! I am home alone and my family lives 2 hours away from me. I am scared he is gonna kill me or something today cause when i got home from the store today my window was cracked with a bunch of investigators. My neighbor told me she saw the man try to go in so she called the police. So help me!
